At Priority Charter Schools, we believe in providing our students with the best education possible. That is why we offer rigorous instruction that challenges and engages our students, helping them to develop a deep understanding of core academic content and the skills they need to succeed in life. History
Priority Charter Schools (PCS) was first approved by the Texas State Board of Education in 1999 and operates under contract with the Texas Commissioner of Education. PCS began serving families in grades Pre-Kindergarten – 9 in the Temple/Belton area under that name TOVAS Charter Academy. After much demand from parents, the grade levels were expanded to include Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 in August 2002. In 2012, the name changed to Priority Charter Schools in order to communicate a renewed philosophy of expansion into other communities. PCS now serves an average of 600 students and families in Temple, Killeen and Copperas Cove. Each campus exhibits unique characteristics that resemble their surrounding communities.
